Yes, he was. And I don't care. Long ago, I gave up believing that major league sports figures are anything other than greedy guys (and gals) who will do anything to get ahead. The purity of the sport and the nobility of the athletes I grew up are long gone.

Still love the games.

Expect nothing from the players.

Search is underway for a new superintendent in the Ohio County schools. The WV School Board Association is helping coordinate the process. WVSBA Exec Howard O. Cull discussed the search on The Morning Show. 4 people applied for the top spot. I thought that was an awfully small number, but Cull says it's typical. And he says it's part of a statewide problem.

Monday, Macy's laid off 7,00 employees and cut their dividends.

Tuesday, their top 5 execs got the second installment of a nearly $1.4 million dollar "performance" bonus.

There's something wrong with this picture!

President Obama has set new guidelines for executive pay for businesses that take tax-payer bailout bucks. Some execs are complaining.

Here's my morning rant on that theme.

Many a man has walked down the street and seen a well-endowed lady pass by. He pokes his pal and says "How big can those things get?".

WOMAN HAS RECORD-SETTING BREASTS: A woman has achieved her dream of possessing a world record bust size -- at 38KKK. After being denied further enhancement on her 34FFF bust in Houston, Sheyla Hershey went to Brazil and has reached her goal. When her boyfriend begged her not to have more than a gallon of silicone put in her chest, she broke up with him. "Bob" and "Sam" both need a kidney transplant. And one is available.

"Bob" will die in 2 days if he doesn't get one. "Sam" can live for another couple of weeks.

Currently, "Bob" gets the kidney and "Sam will wait for another one.

But there is a movement underway to modify that. Giving "Sam" first dibs IF "Sam" is a registered organ donor.

The group LifeSharers thinks that more people would become organ donors if they knew that decision woukld make them eligible for "first-in-line" organs if they ever need a donation. (I'm not sure I agree--I think most of us choose to ignore thee end-of-life issues even when they make intellectual sense).

Steelers have their 6-pack. And it was a great game, down to the wire. Not so much for this year's crop of ads--in my opinion. Couple of OK ones, nothing that jumped out at me. If you missed the big game, you missed it....but if you missed the ads, you can check them out here.

Will it or won't it?

Last week I crawled on my hands and knees down my driveway, fell on my hiney in the Broadcast House parking lot and couldn't get out of my garage....all because of the heavy ice we had.

Now we're all wondering: what will next week bring? The weather guessers say a BIG winter storm is coming up the East coast. If it tracks just right (or wrong!), it could hit our area. One NWS officials on statewide Talkline this week said it has the potential to be as bad as the big blizzards of '77-'78 and '93 (although that prediction seems to have been greatly exaggerated.

Right now it looks like it will pass up by but no one is sure just yet.

In the front`s wake, winter will make a complicated and rapid return Monday night and Tuesday. A growing area of low pressure in the eastern Gulf of Mexico will move northeastward across the Southeast, crossing near the Delmarva Peninsula and becoming a coastal low. At the same time, an upper-level low pressure system will race eastward into the Mid-Atlantic.

What is unknown at this point is how these two storm systems will interact with each other.(Weatherbug)
