Former Belmont County Commissioner Mark Thomas has, for years, warned that the county finances are in trouble--and that Sherif Fred Thompson is willfully ignoring the problems. You might remember a couple months ago Thomas called for the sheriff to resign.
Today, WTOV reports, county auditor Joe Pappanno made the same call. Telling commissioners that Thompson's budget is nearly gone and within a week he won't have enough cash to cover payroll. Pappanno told the commissioners they should start a recall effort for Thompson. Watch the video of Pappanno's rant from TV9.
