Former Congressman Bob Ney says he and the man whose lobbying was at the center of the scandal that cost Ney his job have communicated this week for the first time since they both went to federal prison. Ney, who is India right now, called The Morning Show today and said he sent Abramoff a short note recently and received one back this week. Ney says Abramoff's note was basically "blessings to you and your family.
Ney and his former chief of staff Neil Volz also recently met for the first time since Volz testified for the prosecution against Ney and Abramoff. They did a joint interview for "60 Minutes" to air this weekend on CBS. In a seperate interview for the segment, Abramoff talked abou lobbying and his suggestions for lobby reform. Abramoff will join me on The Morning Show on November 17th.
