Every weekend when my wife and I have breakfast at one of our local restaurants, we take a little ride around the area. Our routine always includes a swing through Oglebay Park. And the problem is that it HAS become "routine".
(Routine: Adjective, performed as part of a regular procedure rather than for a special reason).
Oglebay Park is anything but routine and most of us here in the Valley so easily forget it or take it for granted. Every trip through should be treated as a "special reason" because we are blessed with a special place.
Swimming, golfing, tennis, resort lodging, cottages, picnicking, a lake, boats, playgrounds, zoo, amphitheater, gift shops, gardens, trees, flowers, dining, lounging, skiing, horseback riding.
All in our backyard.
All for a "routine" drive any time we want to.
